Word is out that rough, tough Big Bro is coming. The news spreads quickly through the jungle, sending all the animals into hiding. Finally, brave mouse volunteers to creep out and have a look, returning with the warning that he is indeed coming! When tiny mouse's older sibling appears, all the animals are humiliated. Nevertheless, the "Boo" that Big Bro roars manages to startle them all, and they concede to little mouse that he is indeed rough and tough. Large pages and big, bright illustrations in watercolor and ink make this humorous story a good read-aloud for storyhours.
